Pitch competitions out to show the South can rise up, challenge venture capital's big 3

Memphis will be the first site of six regional startup pitch competitions aimed to take a piece of the enormous amounts of venture capital poured into the East and West Coasts. The pitch competitions are conducted by the Delta Entrepreneurship Network, which is part of the Delta Regional Authority.
