Zero Based Entrepreneurship
Bringing founders and partners back to the inception of their idea/concept, and iteratively building forward from there
- Focus holistically on the concept and all aspects of the foundations of business without making assumptions or taking assertions at face value
- Begin from scratch, without preconceptions of our knowledge or their existing models to make sure all parties fully understand the business and choices made to date.
- Help uncover their core capabilities, systems, and processes — the zero point or foundation of their business — while more importantly uncovering some challenges that need to be addressed.
- Shift their trajectory to an ideal state using lean, iterative sprints of customer and market discovery, iterative delivery and testing, and finally, building a growth engine for scaling with revenue and financing.
Civic Entrepreneurship
Practitioners in civic building, Start Co. leads governments, nonprofits, and other social organizations in preventing premature execution of social efforts. This is done through community self assessments, system and civic discovery, uncovering missing ingredients, and designing and implementing solutions.
Partner Network
Start Co. has an extensive partner network of venture and equity partners that range from venture capital to talent networks to emerging technologies and expertise. We bring these partners to the table for various initiatives, clients, startups, and partners where appropriate. Our network is not a pay to access for all network, but a network to be leveraged where there is true alignment and mutual benefit.
Train the Trainer
Start Co. sits on various curriculums, systems, expertise, and programs; in select cases, we will take partners through a training process to help them better assist their constituents, communities, employees, and/or clients. We assist in modeling customized approaches, launching them, and then we fall back and assist where needed.
Think and Do Tank
Start Co. has a design process for taking clients and partners through; our expertise lies in business strategy fueled by experience and doing the research and discovery needed to architect potential solutions. We are not engineers but we work with engineers who can build. We are not a research center but we can perform research when it is human centered. Our strength lies in the ability to open source through our network external challenges and ideas, and the ability to design and map solutions that work.
